obituary

Last month my beautiful Grandmother passed away and i cant begin to describe how much she will be missed. I was lucky to spend some wonderful days with her before her parting.

She has left a big void, which i plan to fill with creation--all the skills she has taught me and passed on to me, i plan to pass on too, its a kind of immortality....

Gone but never forgotten, Dottie-May Spencer ........

velvet elephunks......

Heres some lovely new toys i have created in velvet ---- elephunks !!!! and only 20 pounds each and i also have a little boy who is half elephunk too !!! but i am keeping him !!

how do i get into all those tiny arms and legs , you often ask me--well i am blessed with four lovely children, two teenagers and two younger ones and the later occassionally love to help, heres little finn in action and dottie may :0)

Being an artist is not for the faint hearted. We must be true to ourselves and have faith in what we do. Its a disease......

To all of you who are finding it hard right now, please keep your chin up, keep plodding on and most of all beleive in what you do, all will work out in the end.

residency and three week exhibition in Derby Arboretum

Exciting news, I shall be the artist in residence in the orangery, for three weeks in june at the arboretum in Derby. Its a beautiful space and I cant wait to work there. I will be working on site for everyday during this, so please come and see me :0)

Moving to my new studio shortly, which is a real little dolls house with an upstairs and a downstairs !!!

There I will be running workshops as well as making my little friends ......

a three week exhibition and residential coming up in the city of Derby soon, in June---more news about that later-----so keep yer eyes peeled.....you never know whats going on at the tinchapel..............

Antique Machine of the 50's.......

Well firstly apologies for the lack of postings, but I really must introduce you to my latest love interest........... and here she is, this very stylish and to die for Husqvarna sewing machine. Not only is she a real beauty but she really sews her heart out !!!

I urge anyone who wants a good machine to get onto ebay and use the search engine !

she does nearly 50 stitches too, and anyone who needs a hand with codes and settings for these, please feel free to email me and I will be happy to help :0)
